Until recently, we didn’t know much about Clarkson, Hammond and May’s upcoming motoring show on Amazon Prime, but as we get closer to its debut date, more and more details are beginning to emerge.

Named The Grand Tour – after months of brainstorming ridiculous names – the show will feature short films shot in different locations around the globe, while the studio audience portion will also take place at a different location around the world every week – which may explain the colossal budget given by Amazon.

As it turns out, the very first episode will be recorded in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 17th of July, in front of a live audience housed within a giant tent (as the crew previously explained the concept behind the new show).

Moreover, Amazon is given away three pairs of tickets as a competition prize, which include travel and accommodation Johannesburg. All you have to do is tweet a photo or a video of the most unusual place you’ve ever put up a tent, using the hashtag #TheGrandTourJoburg.

Anyway, the occurring already spawned funny reactions from the trio on Twitter, with James May saying the location was “chosen by Richard Hammond, who’s run out of biltong.”
